Ingredients

  • 400g Brussel Sprouts
  • 200g Cooked Chestnuts
  • 20g Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Method

  1. Peel off the outer-most layer of leaves from the brussel sprouts and trim off the very bottom of the base. the cleaned brussel sprouts
  2. Put the brussel sprouts into a large pan of salted boiling water and cook them for 10 minutes. Then drain off the water. boiling the brussel sprouts
  3. In a frying pan over a medium heat, heat the butter and oil. When the butter has melted and started fizzing, put in the chestnuts. frying the chestnuts
  4. Fry the chestnuts for 2 minutes, then add the brussel sprouts into the frying pan, stir them around for 10 seconds and season them with salt & pepper. frying the brussel sprouts
  5. Tip the contents of the frying pan into a serving dish and serve. the finished dish
